In The Time of Grief

I had an auspicious dream

We had a wrong delivery
I walked after the delivery man
To ask him what went wrong
When I looked at him
I could see he had learning difficulties
He was extremely sad and anxious
He said he was sorry
But he could barely see any more
He was blind in one eye
And the other eye was going the same way
So all he saw was blurry and confused

I stood with him and I wept
He asked what I was crying for
I said, ‘The world is so cruel.’

This man was the world we experience
And all we can really do is love it
And each other, back to the harmony
We have drifted so far away from ourselves

Our grief and sadness
Will become our joy and happiness
When we heal our broken hearts, together.
