Resting in The Heart

Come back, come back
To what is here
This tenderest of places
Where love awaits

Even though we cannot be together
Still we can know each other
When we rest in our hearts

Don’t let it be all mind
You will become exhausted
Mind is rooted in separation
The I, the me, all identity and survival

But our hearts are connected across space
And across time’s illusory appearance
So come back, come back
To what is here
Where love awaits

Don’t forget beauty
Today, do something to court beauty
Say something sweet and tender
Offer something that lights up your lovers eyes
Nothing big, just a soft message
That love is untouchable by separation
Untouchable by fear

There are those who see beauty and love
Even in the midst of great hardship
Let us aspire to be like those
Holders of the light

Come back, come back
To what is here
This tenderest of places
Where love is.

  1. What a good read! I have written a poem too. Kindly read it. Bored with being in quarantine? This is something interesting for you!
