Oh! the bitter sweet taste of this life
The endless searching for the sweet
And the turning away from the bitter
Yet this bitter taste
Is unavoidable
And, tough as it may be,
We must somehow find a way
To reconcile these seeming opposites

There is a place within us
That knows the bitter and the sweet
To be the same
May our true search be for that resting place.
