Rise and Deepen

Raise your consciousness
Deepen your inquiry
And find that authority that is your birthright
Do not bypass any more
Commit each day
To your transformation
Clearing what must be cleared
There is no more time to waste
And those of us who have chosen to incarnate now
Have a profound responsibility to the future
To rise and deepen
Right now.

Everyone is Buddha Now

Unleash your buddha nature
And meet all of life’s phenomena
With equanimity and compassion
There is no difference
Between you or I and the buddha
All of us have the same latent capacity
And, in these times of great disturbance,
Each of us is called to fall into our true nature
Everyone is buddha now

We live in profound times
And the old ways of thinking
Must be surrendered.

No One Owns The World

After all is said and done
We are all just visitors here
Every single one of us
And no one has any more right
Than anyone else
No one can claim dominion or ownership
For each of us is a stranger
And, if anything, it is our existential duty
To leave this world
More beautiful and loving
Than when we arrived
And those who fail to do that
Or at least try and do that
Are failing themselves and the human family.

There is a Light

There is a light within your being
I have seen it
It is there no matter what happens
On the surface of your life

That light animates you
Maybe you hear it calling
It is the light of truth
The light of love
The light of rightness
The light of harmony

In these times when so much is changing
And what we took for normal has gone
That light within, which has a voice,
Is your guide, your beacon,
Your navigation
It carries your innate authority
Your wisdom, your purpose,
It is the holder of your divine connection

You don’t have to find it, it’s not missing
All you have to do is turn towards it
And say yes to it
Yes I am listening
And ready for a deeper guidance

There is a natural intelligence inside life
When we discover that river of goodness
It changes everything.

MY LINE IN THE SAND

And then one day I realized
I had to stand for something
It was my duty to find what mattered
And stand for it
I saw the erosion of our freedoms
The undermining of our truths
The collapse of our rights
And decided I had to say no
That’s not what I want for future generations

And so I made love my line in the sand
Not a weak personal interdependent love
But a ferocious love that does what it takes
To take care of what it values most,
The vulnerable and the innocent,
To take care of who we are
Like a precious child

Sometimes it feels as though our humanity is slipping through our fingers
Under a great, subtle, overt, conscious erosion
While we dally around
Preoccupied with our survival and our habits
Our phones and our apps

We may be the frog
That is slowly being boiled
Unless we stand for something

That’s my line, right there
I call it love.

– Thank you for reading. I don’t often ‘rant’ and it won’t happen again for a while but I feel compelled to state where I am at. I feel passionately that each of us is being called to our own bar now to ask us searching and deep questions about what we are prepared to do for what we truly value. I am responding to this call in the only way I know how. LOVE.

Without Love, Who Are We?

In these strange and unsettling times
We are being given a window
To look upon what world we want
For ourselves, our children and others
And maybe that means we need to ask ourselves
Some difficult questions
Without love as the root of our individual and collective world
Who are we
Without all that is born from love
Kindness, compassion, humility and courage
Who are we
Without this invisible bond of love
That glues us all together
In a thing called humanity
Who are we

We all know fear and what it does
We have tasted its power within us
And seen its effect outside us
It is an addictive drug that won’t let go
And the dealers know it

Without love as the ground of life
Who are we

So we must choose, again and again
To embrace love’s truth
And live it as though we mean it

Love is not a neutral thing
Or just some invisible essence
Or a badge we wear sometimes
It is a powerful and visible emanation
That is revealed always
It is not something to be embarrassed about
No…
If you have managed to become rooted in love
It is something to be declared
‘I am for love!’

For without love, who are we.

I Woke Up Crying

I was deep in a dream
There was a storm gathering
And in the distance
A wave was building
I was scared
And also excited
I knew things would never be the same
And I was going to be called
To be brave and resolute
A voice somewhere whispered
‘This is it,’
I felt weak and unprepared
Doubtful and insecure

And then I looked around
And saw others
With the same look in their eyes
I saw sorrow and I saw some grief
I saw their sadness in saying goodbye
To what was
Yet I also saw a presence, a resolve
A joy and an openness
To what was unfolding
‘This it,’ They said

And I woke up crying.

Lovers Arise

Lovers, there is nothing left for us
But to arise
Everything has changed
Old realities have been torn down
Truth as we knew it is dead
And there is a gaping hole
A gaping hole in the heart of man
All holes eventually are filled
Nature abhors the vacuum

Lovers arise
You have nothing to lose
But your fears and your imagination
Nothing to let go of
But this low grade resonance
That binds you and tethers you
To an old paradigm

We are capable of extraordinary things
We can upgrade, we can fly
We can be powerful
We can let love flow into us and through us
We can make this spiritual seeking
A frequency change
Not sometime in the future
But now

Something is happening on planet earth
It has been on its way for a long time
Are we in the midst of it
Or at the beginning of it
Will things get more intense
Will everything external collapse
No one knows

But each drop of water
Each snow flake
Each cell in the body
Contributes to the whole
And is uniquely valuable

We get to choose our resonance
And if we don’t choose it
Others choose it for us
Lovers arise
There is a wave sweeping through everything

The Door of Opportunity is Open

There is a miracle in our midst
But, in our ignorance,
We turn away again and again
Choosing to indulge our imagination
Gambling on the ego
Who now drives the bus
So recklessly

We who turn away
From innocence and love
And invest ourselves in mind
And all its trickster ways
Its hustle and its narcissism
We have invested in a charlatan

And now, in these extraordinary times,
With so many people parting the veil,
A mass awakening covering the earth,
We get to see clearly
The emperor has no clothes
The ego alone cannot save us

The collective dream has run its course
The investment, gambled over centuries of self
Has left us spiritually bankrupt
Disconnected from our essential nature
Driven by demons of greed and power

Bu there is a miracle in our midst
Call it heart, soul, spirit, truth, or love
And the door of opportunity is open
The invitation has arrived on our doorstep

And thrown down the gauntlet to each of us
From this time on
What do we choose
What do we really value most
Do we surrender ourselves
To the tyranny of ego hive mind
And stay as we were

Or….
Do we rise into our magnificence
And, equally, fall into our hearts
Can we do that, return to innocence
Become the embodiment of love’s truth
We have the capacity
It’s there in our very DNA
It may require strength of character
And a great willingness to transform
But in my heart
I know
That is our way forward

The door is open
Can we walk through it.

Humanity Reimagined

I have a dream
That says
We must reimagine ourselves
At this juncture of evolution
We, not just each of us,
But all of us together,
Must reimagine who we are
What we value
What we want most
How we want to be with each other
And how we want to be represented

So much has happened
In our recent history
Much of it laden
With mistruth and downright lies
Heinous acts, wars
Corruption we have never seen before
All of it as we are still infants
With the technology of superior beings

And now I believe we are existentially lost
And we don’t know who we are
Or what we stand for
We are chemicalized and polluted
Our immunity stolen
And our sovereignty overruled

Friend, we must reimagine ourselves
That’s what this spirituality does
It makes us re evaluate who we are
And what we stand for
What our purpose is
Who we really are
It’s not a luxury
It’s essential
And without it
I’m afraid we are like lambs to the slaughter.
