Everything Wants to Come Home. Let it.

Everything wants to come home in us
All the dark parts and the unloved parts
The neglected and abandoned parts
The unwanted, the ugly and the rejected parts
Everything we turned away from
Because we had to
Everything we still carry around
Secretly or openly
The past always knocking on present’s door
To be welcomed home
Into our loving embrace
Into our open heart

But we turn it away, again and again,
No, we say, not now, I’m trying to meditate
I’m trying to heal, to be spiritual,
I’m trying to be happy or loving
Or I’m trying to hold on to my stories
Because I’m afraid of who I will be
If I let them all go

And so we turn away from
The very thing that can bring us some peace

Open so wide everything gets to come home
Just that one thing can change absolutely everything.

Duality Itself Is Unreal

Today, see duality
With great discernment
But don’t believe it to be truth
Stay resolutely as love
No matter what
It seems almost impossible
Because duality is so convincing
But then, so is virtual reality

We are in strange times
Stay as the wholeness of love
There is insurmountable power
In this one simple decision.

The Separate Becomes Whole in You

I will not offer solutions
To your existential or real life dilemmas
Nor will I offer you
Spiritual isms
That may satisfy the mind
But leave the heart aching
I won’t promise an easy path
I can’t say there is a painless life ahead
And I definitely cannot say the outside world will change

But I am saying, when you stop turning away,
When you cease running, or avoiding, or even explaining
When your stories lose their meaning and power
And you have the strength and vulnerability
To turn and meet your own demons
Your own imagination
The sorrow of suffering
The pain of distortion
The deceit of the world
And the incessant nature of mind

Something happens that changes everything
As though, by and by,
You fall into a slip stream of natural intelligence
That brings depth, wisdom, grace
And acceptance of your experience
And the world

And the unbearable becomes bearable
The broken becomes unbroken
The separate becomes whole
And the unloved and unlovable
Become love and loved

This is the journey.

Heal the Illusion Through Love

Life is too short
For fakery
Too urgent
And quick to pass
To deny love
Any longer

We came here to love
Not for fame, power or evil
They are side shows
We came to love
To remember love
To bring it to life
And to live it
Everything else
Is an illusion

Don’t believe the illusion
Any longer
Don’t believe power’s deceptive allure
Don’t invest in self importance
Or fame’s tantalizing offers

Only the truest and deepest love
Can heal the illusion of separation.

Keep on Loving

Here is the thing
The bottom line
Just keep on loving
In the best and deepest way you can
Keep on walking the love road
On and on
Sure, sometimes you will fall off,
But that’s the time
To dust yourself down
And get back on the road
Don’t worry what others say, do, or think
Or if the world goes crazy and falls apart
Or if people judge you or misunderstand you
Just stay true to love as you know it
By and by, as you walk that path,
Through perceived failure and even darkness
Great wisdom and compassion will arise
In the core of your being
And you will touch profound joy and grace
And others will see a light shining from your heart
And they may begin to walk the love path
That’s all that really needs to happen,
And all that really can happen.

Care So Deeply

Care so deeply
You stop controlling life
Care so much
You stay as love

When the impulse comes
To fall into righteous judgment
And it will
Care so powerfully
You stay as openness itself
And just love
The world, other people
Will find themselves
Through your love and openness
Through your simple presence
But righteous judgment
Creates walls and prisons
And makes everyone mad

Don’t play that game any more
But care so deeply
You love the world back to truth
Back to its rightfulness
Back to its innocent heart.
