When I look at you I see love’s truth Trying to bust out All over the place I say let it blow What’s to lose Apart from some idea You have of yourself Or the world.
Empty your temple Clear out the clutter of self Far from leaving it barren and desolate The divine will flow in And beautify it In ways you cannot imagine
Here is another small collection of my various outpourings this week.
This week’s poems are dedicated to a beautiful man I worked with recently who I have just learned has passed away. The last words I heard from him said,’ Thank you for your friendship. I’m sure we will remain friends forever.’
I’m sure we will remain friends forever – yes Peter, beyond time’s knowing.
Down here In the depths Feeling everything Holding onto nothing.
If you could see The luminosity of your being You would cease all your hostilities Put down all destructive weapons And instantly love all things Beyond measure
It is only our blindness To the truth That keeps us at war.
When you let go of trying to control everything A door opens into a vast new realm And you are invited to trust life And not fear it.
It’s the dance of the mystic In the ordinariness of life That delights me The mystic untethered Shines a light On the darkness Nudging those Who have sought refuge In the temporary To remember The ineffable mystery Of existence.
Let us meet Beyond our opinions or beliefs Somewhere down in the deepest As two naked beings Raw and real Living in the mystery We call life Prior to all this cover up Of the self
We will call it A meeting of souls Celebrating the unknown.
You can’t find a place You didn’t leave You can only realize You never left it.
Stop hiding your sacred light Pretending you are unworthy of it You are not unworthy of this glory It’s what you are here for And all this doubt is just a delaying Of the inevitable.
Fall in love so deeply With your existence That everything Melts into you.
Come to no conclusion But walk with presence In the unknown Mind wide open Heart as vast as the sky You and the world Become one thing.
Friend, you must fly into the sun So the light burns off Lifetimes of guilt and shame If you really want what is true You must stand naked and unashamed Innocent and tender Before the world Only this humility will open the door To love’s deepest truths.
I’m sure we will all be friends forever. Love has no enemies.
Thank you for reading the words of my heart and soul.
You never stopped being your essential self It just became covered over with layers Of erroneous beliefs and conditioned ways Hidden under the weight of trying to be a someone And now the journey calls you to remove all those layers And remember the essence.
If you are too preoccupied Searching for the peace You imagine is in the future You may lose the possibility Of discovering the peace NOW In that sense the future is an illusion And this is as good as it gets This is it.
If we could just touch Our unconditional nature And catch a glimpse Of eternity’s secrets For one exquisite moment We might stop being So lost in form’s illusion.
