we were moulded and shaped
from a lump of human clay
to wear a coat of many colours
and a mask of many faces
who sees the real you?
where did you go?
when you wear the coat
day in and day out
it gets heavy
and starts to grow very thin
eventually it frays
and thats where the light gets in
wisdom is the day
you are able to
to take off the coat
and put down the mask
and reveal who you really are
life often feels like a play
for this reason
that everyone has their own coat
and mask
and they do not even realise.
oh! imagine if we all put them down.

I love the poem. My whole being responded to the last line: Let’s not just imagine, let’s do it.

Thanks! Let’s do it! Not as easy it is in theory or poetry. But that’s the task. X
