I have a dream
That says
We must reimagine ourselves
At this juncture of evolution
We, not just each of us,
But all of us together,
Must reimagine who we are
What we value
What we want most
How we want to be with each other
And how we want to be represented

So much has happened
In our recent history
Much of it laden
With mistruth and downright lies
Heinous acts, wars
Corruption we have never seen before
All of it as we are still infants
With the technology of superior beings

And now I believe we are existentially lost
And we don’t know who we are
Or what we stand for
We are chemicalized and polluted
Our immunity stolen
And our sovereignty overruled

Friend, we must reimagine ourselves
That’s what this spirituality does
It makes us re evaluate who we are
And what we stand for
What our purpose is
Who we really are
It’s not a luxury
It’s essential
And without it
I’m afraid we are like lambs to the slaughter.
